Radek Filip is one of the most recognisable Czech fisherman and has reputation as predator fishing expert, although he would call himself an all-round fisherman. He was Editor in Chief of fishing magazine "Kajman" for 8 years and simultaneously managed carp fishing magazine "Kapr". He has published fishing articles in more than 50 countries. He works now as country manager of Westin for the Czech Republic and Slovakia and is the face of marketing in this territory. Radek focuses most of his fishing time on targeting the biggest specimens all around the world. Among his trophy fish are a 127 cm pike, 114 cm hucho, 52 cm perch, 65 kg tuna, 27 kg carp, 30+kg GT, and many other huge fish. Radek is also a successful competition fisherman. His biggest tournament fishing success was winning the World Predator Classic 2019 with his fishing partner Martin Štěpka. During this competition he caught a 117 cm pike which, along with their other fish, was enough to secure them first place. He caught the biggest pike at the same competition two years later, and has caught the biggest fish at several other tournaments. He has been predator fishing with Westin tackle for very long time, and he even named his dog Westin!
