Urban Dogša comes from Maribor, Slovenia. He is one of the founding members of what was then the Carp Anglers Association of Slovenia. His primary focus in fishing has always been carp fishing on larger Slovenian lakes and waters abroad. Following the birth of his daughter Pia in 2010, time for longer fishing campaigns became scarce, leading him to focus on predator fishing - specifically pike, zander, and occasionally catfish, chub, and barbel. At the same time, he serves as the president of the supervisory board in his local angling club, where he initiated a pilot project stocking the Danube salmon (huchen) into the Drava River to preserve the species' population and boost biodiversity. Currently, his favorite places to fish are larger Slovenian lakes, where over the past two years he managed to catch the fish of a lifetime: two pikes measuring 125 cm and 128 cm - an exceptional achievement considering the state of large pike populations in Central Europe.
