John O´Grady

John O'Grady has been fishing since he was 5 years of age. One of his strongest memories is his dad bringing him pike fishing for the first time. He was hooked! Since then angling has developed into a passion. He has become an accomplished specimen angler targeting big fish using a variety of methods. In particular he enjoys deadbait and lures for pike through the winter and bass, wrasse, pollock, perch and trout on lures during the warmer months. Some captures of note include pike to 29lb 15oz, brown trout to 12lb 8oz, ballan wrasse to 5lb 8oz, tope to 40lb, pollock to 8lb and bass to 6lb.
