Marco Schmidt

His fishing story began at the age of five, when his father and grandfather took him to the water for the first time. At first, they fished for non-predatory fish – but even then, it was clear that Marco wanted more than just to watch the float occasionally. At the age of 13, he joined the local fishing club and shortly afterwards won his first youth championship. The older Marco got, the more his fascination with predatory fish grew. His journey took him from trout to pike, zander, and perch - the species that still inspire him most today. Marco took a short break in his twenties, but the urge to fish again returned stronger than ever. The first big predators quickly followed, reigniting his passion once and for all. A few years ago, he fulfilled his long-cherished dream of owning his own boat and intensified his commitment to modern predator fishing. Marco specializes in large pike and big zander and impresses with an enormous range of techniques – from shallow water fishing to the use of modern live techniques. Perch fishing, which has recently become increasingly interesting to him, is also becoming more and more of a focus. He is a positively crazy angler for whom it is not just a hobby, but a real passion – and who values the many hours spent in nature as a valuable balance to his often very stressful job.
