Victor Veegh

Viktor Veegh was born in Budapest in 1985 and learned the basics of fishing from his grandfather. Over the years, he experimented with various fishing techniques, eventually discovering that lure fishing (spinning) was his true passion. Since 2020, he has been operating Lupa Fishing at the 100-hectare Lupa Lake near Budapest. Under his management, the venue has become a true paradise for lure anglers, renowned for its giant pike and trophy perch. At the same time, carp anglers also can enjoy excellent opportunities on the lake. Viktor is the organizer of some of Hungary's largest and most popular boat lure fishing competitions. He has been competing in the Hungarian National Championship since 2020, and in 2023 he became the champion of the WHSE series. He is also dedicated to educating the next generation of anglers through fishing camps and training programs for children. Over the years, hundreds of young people have discovered the sport and become anglers under his guidance. "For me, the greatest reward is seeing the excitement in a child's eyes after a successful fishing adventure. That feeling means more than any trophy catch ever could." His favorite target species are pike, perch, and zander (volga zander), and he is particularly passionate about modern lure fishing techniques for these predators.
